The Preservation Company has a program that offers assistance with the following:
HOME OWNERSHIP:
Counseling, advice about the home-buying process
Help finding local properties
Financial evaluation
Debt and budget counseling
Obtaining mortgage pre-approval
Grants for down payment & closing costs
Obtaining mortgage loans
First-time home-buyer workshops
HOME IMPROVEMENT:
Provides funds up to $15,000 for eligible repairs in homes owned by income-eligible households residing in the City of Peekskill. Types of eligible repairs include electrical upgrade, roof replacement, window replacement, plumbing repair, lead abatement, etc.
TENANT ASSISTANCE:
Landlord/tenant counseling and mediation
Referral to Section 8 rental assistance program
Relocation assistance
Referrals to support services
Help locating emergency funding for rental payments
