Services
Adolescent Medicine
Child & Family Counseling The Child and Family counseling is a program
designed to meet the behavioral needs of children and their families.
Mental health services focus primarily on problems that affect families,
such as developmental problems of childhood and adolescence, home and
school behavior problems, medical conditions, marital conflict or parent-child
conflict.
Dentistry
Early Childhood Coordination Program
Early Intervention Services Known familiarly as “early intervention”,
(or “EI”) this program provides multidisciplinary developmental
evaluations and services to infants and toddlers from birth to 5 years.
The Hudson River Community Health Early Intervention and Preschool program
is a New York State approved and provides evaluations and services through
contractual relationships with Westchester and Putnam County Departments
of Health.
Health Education
HIV Counseling, Testing, and Management: GENESIS The Genesis Program
is designed to meet the health education and mental health needs of people
infected and/or affected by HIV/AIDS. The Genesis Program is staffed with
compassionate professionals who offer high quality, individualized services.
Specific services include: Pre and Post Test Counseling, Case Management,
Mental Health Counseling, Peer Support Groups, and Community Health Education
and Outreach.

Substance Abuse & Alcohol Treatment Services:
PEEKSKILL PATHWAYS Pathways is a New York State Licensed Chemical Dependency
Out Patient Treatment Program. The staff is highly effective in the treatment
of addiction. Services offered include: individual, group and family counseling,
psychiatric assessment, education, and referrals to facilities offering
detoxification, rehabilitation and other services. All services are bilingual
(Spanish).
WIC (Supplemental nutrition program for pregnant women, infants and
children) WIC offers nutrition counseling and supplemental foods without
charge for eligible women who are pregnant or nursing, infants from birth
to 1 year, and children from 1 to 5 years of age.

Youth Services
Project R.A.P. (Responsible Actions Program)-Teens between the ages
12 and 19 are trained as peer volunteers to make presentations on HIV/AIDS
prevention.
Youth Health Promoter-Youth meet weekly to discuss various health and
social issues.
S.T.A.R. (Students Taking Action and Responsibility). Youth Health Advisory
Council consisting of teens who work as liaisons between schools and youth
services offered in the community.
Girl Talk- A group for middle school aged girls who meet to discuss
the health and social issues that they face.
Project LIFE-A health education program that focuses on Abstinence.

Family Health Plus
Comite Latino
Comite Latino is an outreach and referral program targeting Spanish-speaking
immigrants in the Peekskill area. The Comite Latino Desk at the front of
the health center provides referral services in Spanish. Open from 9-5 Monday
through Friday. Also conducts street outreach and workshop on health and
other topics requested by, and relevant to, the immigrant population.
Casa de Salud
Casa de Salud offers extended Health Center hours on Wednesday evenings
from 5-9. No one is turned away. Drop-ins are welcomed. We assist those
who are Spanish speaking only and who cannot seek medical services during
regular working hours.

E.C.H.O. (Exploring Careers and Healthcare Opportunities)
E.C.H.O. (Exploring Careers and Healthcare Opportunities) is a summer leadership
and employment program for teens who are interested in pursuing careers
in health and related fields.
Kids Bridge
Kids Bridge is an after-school Child Care Program in collaboration with
Peekskill City Schools. It is a N.Y.S. licensed program, staffed by professional
teachers, open to children in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade who attend
Elementary School in the Peekskill School District. Kids Bridge provides
a wholesome, nurturing environment that encourages creativity and respects
cultural diversity. All activities are specifically designed to support
the physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills of each individual
child within a base of warmth and security.

By car: Route 9 North or South to Route 6, Main Street exit. We are located
on the right side of the street after the fourth traffic light. Municipal
parking is available adjacent to the Health Center.
By Train: Metro North to Peekskill; taxi service is available at the station.
By Bus: Westchester County Bee-Line; Bus:Rt. # 14, 15 & 16
Transportation available for those with special needs.
